    1. Have you switched out your air filters lately? This is the most important thing that you must do in order to maintain you’re a/c unit. Filters that are not clean will reduce efficiency of your aircon unit and cause it to work harder. This will increase your monthly electrical bill. Keeping your filters clean can keep your home cooler, as well as saving you money and repair costs.
    2. Keep the condensing unit clear. To ensure that the unit draws air into the cooling system and cools the rooms in your home effectively, the outside condensing unit must be free of anything on or near it. Do NOT store items near or on the condensing unit, this is a no brainer!
    3. Access Panels? When’s the last time you checked the access panels? Are they in place and properly secured? You should also remove all items near the exterior of your air conditioning unit for proper circulation.

When in Doubt, hire a professional air conditioning servicing company to clean your unit. If you want you’re a/c unit to perform at the highest level of efficiency, you will have to keep it maintained properly. You service your car on a regular basis don’t you? Well you’re homes a/c is no different. Pay a little now or a lot later. It’s your call!
